The Pussycat Dolls are back and I am living. Their new single ‘React’ is an absolute bop, and the accompanying music video is too. Nicole Scherzinger and her backup dancers Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt perform within an intense aesthetic of water, lights, and fire. I feel like it’s the mid-2000’s and I’m here for it.
‘Returning to the Dolls has been a complete 180 that has brought back all the good and elevated our work to another level,” Scherzinger said in a statement. ‘We are women who are on the other side of a lot of life experiences — it has given us so much perspective and growth. And then being able to release our music independently at this moment in time feels incredibly empowering.’
This guy puts it best.

Sometimes big reunions like this can fail on the music-side of things. It’s usually the big reunion tours that do well. It’s fair to say that the Pussycat Dolls absolutely nailed it with this one. It is one of the best pop songs so far this year, and one of the best songs in their catalogue for sure. This music video is fierce. With this, Lady Gaga’s leaked song (c’mon you heard it) and Dua Lipa’s bangers, it’s looking like a promising year for pop!
