With the coronavirus pandemic putting healthcare workers at the frontline, it has become common for artists to come together to honor them. The latest tribute benefit project comes from Julia Michaels and JP Saxe, who wrote a song called ‘If The World Was Ending.’ And they invited a group of artist friends to join in.
The song’s proceeds will go to the Doctors Without Borders organization.
‘We are so grateful for the incredible work being done by those on the frontlines during this global pandemic,’ Saxe and Michaels wrote in a statement. ‘We asked some of our friends to sing this song with us to help benefit an organization very close to our hearts. All proceeds received by Sony Music and the artists from the video will be donated. At a time when it can sometimes feel like ‘the world is ending,’ we thank all of the healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers who are helping so many people in need.’
H.E.R., Niall Horan, Finneas, Kesha, Keith Urban, and Jason Derulo are among the names that make an appearance in the song. Others include Alessia Cara, Zara Larsson, Kelsea Ballerini, Sam Smith, and many more.
