Canadian singers joined forces for a video in which they cover ‘Lean On Me’ of the late Bill Withers. Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, and Michael Buble are among the many stars that appear on this video. The cover song will raise money for Canada’s first responders and the COVID-19 Response Fund.
Justin Trudeau, Canada’s prime minister, closes out the video with a message of hope. In both English and French, he tells Canadian people, ‘We’re going to get through this together by leaning on each other and protecting our frontline workers.’
Artist all over the world have joined forces in many different ways to assist during this coronavirus crisis. There have been numerous telecasts, foundations, and other virtual events in effort to bring some positive energy to this. To top it all off, money has been raised for healthcare workers, response funds, and people struggling economically. It’s just another example of how music and those that create it can be of service to the world.
