Chloe x Halle announced that their sophomore album is titled Ungodly Hour and will come out June 5. With the announcement, the sister-duo put out lead single ‘Do It’ along with its music video.
The smooth track describes a night out for the singers. They make it clear that they are out just to have fun with lyrics such as ‘I’m just with the crew, we ain’t out here looking for boo.’ It was co-written by fellow R&B songstress Victoria Monet.
The most noticeable changes with this preview of their sophomore album compared to their debut The Kids Are Alright are the more mature content and a more jam-driven sound. It is way easier to dance along to this lively new single whereas their previous songs in their discography better showcase their vocal ability.
We can’t wait to see what else they have in store.
