The Weeknd canceled the remainder of his show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday (Sept. 4) night just four songs into his setlist after losing his voice.
“I don’t want to stop the show,” he told the nearly sold-out crowd. “But I can’t give you the concert that I want to give you right now.”
He promised refunds while getting visibly emotional during his announcement of the cancelation.
He took to Twitter to explain what had happened after some confusion and false reports circulated on social media.
This was the second of two nights at SoFi Stadium for The Weeknd on his After Hours Til Dawn Tour.
His first stadium tour has been plagued with problems. Before it even began, Doja Cat dropped out as the opening act which was a big blow considering she is such a big name. Then, hours before it was set to start, he was forced to postpone the opening night of the tour in Toronto after a massive, nationwide communications outage in Canada.
