Taylor Swift has put out a lyric video for one of her best Lover songs: ‘The Man.’ The animated video shows a woman engulfed in a world ran by man. Ultimately, she finds her proper place via another woman in what seems to symbolize that women helping other women is the way to go. This comes as she launches ‘The Man’ as the latest single from Lover.
Last week, Swift released her documentary Miss Americana on Netflix. A lot of the happenings in the documentary show the sexism that has tried to put her down in many occasions throughout her career. For instance, when she was being told by a group of men not to publish her first ever political statement or when Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards when she was just 20 years-old.
While she has opted not to do a traditional long tour for Lover, she is still doing some performances this summer. Before doing her Lover Fest stadium shows in Sao Paulo, Boston, and Los Angeles, she is doing several festivals around the world including NOS Alive in Lisbon, British Summer Time in London, and Glastonbury among many others.
