Taylor Swift Makes History Again With Folklore

Peter Stavros

Taylor Swift continues to break records with Folklore. The singer is the first woman to have six albums to spend four weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 200 chart.

No other woman has accomplished this feat. The only four other acts to have done this before are The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and Garth Brooks.

Billboard did point out something that makes this even more noteworthy about Swift’s successes.

“Swift is the only woman to achieve the feat—and the only artist who released their first album in 1990 or later. That latter point is significant, because albums aren’t remaining at No. 1 as long as they used to. As a result, this feat is getting harder to accomplish.”

Swift proves again that she still has a massive fanbase with tremendous reach. People still listen to her music in masses, and many still buy her music as opposed to streaming it. She’s on a league of her own in this respect.

Congratulations to Taylor!
