Taylor Swift broke the internet during the MTV Video Music Awards when she announced that she was putting a new album out.
The singer later revealed that her next full-length effort will be called Midnights. It will include 13 new songs with the release date of Oct. 21.
“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams,” she said in a statement. “For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the laterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve … we’ll meet ourselves.”
Swift has been re-releasing her former albums in the past couple of years. Tonight at the VMAs, her music video for ‘All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version)’ won the coveted video of the year award.
It also won Best Longform Video and Best Direction. Her Video of the Year win makes her the artist with the most wins in that category with three wins.
