The coronavirus may have canceled the Olympic games, but Sam Smith and Demi Lovato are giving them some life in the music video for their new collaboration ‘I’m Ready.’ Not only that, they even brought true glamour and some LGBT love to it. Meanwhile, the song sounds a little anthem-ish: connecting the ideas of being ready for someone to love you as well as being ready to shine.
In a recent interview, Smith mentioned that now that covid-19 has delayed his album and even prompted many changes, this song might not even be in it. After all, it seems like it works just fine on its own as a single. A little bit of a summer bop during these trying times.
