Roger Waters is no stranger to political protest and conversation. And what a better way to share his message with fans than hitting the road in the months prior to one of the most important elections in United States history.
‘As the clock ticks faster and faster and faster down to extinction, it seemed like a good thing to make a fuss about it, so that’s why I’m going on the road,’ Waters said.
The This Is Not A Drill Tour, a show that will be done in the round, promises to be a loud warning to people about the times we are living in, and how we need to do something about it.
‘To be blunt, we need to change the way we organize ourselves as a human race or die,’ Waters said.
His latest trek will take him to arenas all over the United States and Canada. The tour kicks off July 8 in Pittsburgh and wraps up a month before Election Day on Oct. 3 in Dallas. It is likely that more dates will be announced in the coming months.
Tickets for the tour go on sale on January 31st at 10 a.m. local time.
