Meghan Trainor is not a fan of leaks. During an interview on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen asked her what she thought about Lady Gaga’s rumored upcoming single ‘Stupid Love’ coming out. Trainor quickly gave her stance of leaked songs, which if Gaga agreed, we could probably never get this supposed first single from LG6.
After Cohen asked whether she thought that after a song leak an artist should release the official version to the masses or not, Trainor said, ‘I don’t. If my old songs get leaked, I’m like ‘Oh! Take it down, and run and hide.’ I don’t know if that was a new single of hers, or something older.’
Trainor is currently doing the press rounds to promote her latest album Treat Myself. She recently dropped the music video for the song ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ featuring Nicki Minaj. She will join Maroon 5 on tour this summer as their special guest. See the dates on their official website.
Meanwhile, as we reported earlier this year, Lady Gaga was set to release ‘Stupid Love’ as her lead single of her sixth studio album. However, after the leaks, we also reported that the date may change and apparently it did. Unless something happens between now and midnight, ha! Either way, music from Gaga is closer than you might think.
I really hope Gaga doesn’t watch Andy Cohen’s show – ha!
