When she’s not busy with her very successful career as an actress, Mary J. Blige is still finding time to make it to the studio. In a new interview with The Los Angeles Times, which is mostly about her upcoming role in the series Power Book II: Ghost, Blige revealed that a new album is on the horizon.
The follow-up to 2017’s Strength Of A Woman is set to come out sometime later this year. And, she promises it won’t be focused too much on hardships as some of her previous records. After all, she’s been living a life of positivity and success in recent years.
“It will be out this fall or winter,” she said. “It’s about life, love, struggle, but mostly triumph. Because I’m learning how to rejoice in the valleys and the droughts.”
Exciting! I hope she does another Christmas album soon too!
