‘I’m not interested in being PC. I’m interested in Justice.’ That’s what Madonna wrote in a recent Instagram post where she addressed the recent horrific murder of George Floyd, a black man, at the hands of four Minneapolis police officers.
Madonna shared a clip of the graphic video where a cop is keeping Floyd down with a knee to the neck. The cop continues to apply pressure despite Floyd constantly saying that he couldn’t breathe and he needed water.
Madonna wrote the following:
‘Watching this Cop suffocate George Floyd with his knee on his neck, handcuffed and helpless, crying for his life with his face in the street is the most sickening, heartbreaking thing ive seen in a long time. This Officer knew he was being filmed and murdered him with arrogance and Pride.
This has to stop!! Until we can over come Racism in America— no one should be allowed to carry a gun. Most of all cops.
God Bless you George Floyd Im so sorry for you and your family. And all the senseless killings that have gone before you. Will it ever end?
Until then—Fuck The Police!’
The four police officers involved in this have been terminated. But every person with common sense that watched the disgusting video is calling for justice, as they should be tried for murder in court. Despite him pleading for his life, the one officer with his knee on Floyd’s neck never stopped – and the other three officers never intervened.
Floyd never resisted arrest. The entire thing was caught on camera. There is no excuse for the clear, systematic race that exists in this country – and that exists in the law enforcement segment. The latter which allows for things to escalate as far as unnecessary death.
Other artists expressed anger and outrage towards this new case of police brutality against black people.
Not three ,not five but almost 15 minutes of a cop knees on a mans neck while handcuffed

My heart can’t take it, seeing what’s happened to #GeorgeFloyd. This is eerily similar to the death of #EricGarner. There has to be a stopping point in the process of arresting someone. It’s all senseless
