Last week before the relaunch of our website, we first reported via a tweet that Lady Gaga’s first single – rumored to be called ‘Stupid Love’ – from her upcoming sixth studio album was coming out Feb. 7. Soon after that snippets of the song have been constantly leaking online. That has lead to the possible decision to change the release date of the song from two weeks to sooner than expected.

A record label source tells us that the team is scrambling to figure out a way to stop the leaks. While they have been pretty successful at taking them down almost immediately, it is popping up everywhere – especially on social media. Therefore, the next option would be to release the single earlier. Something that would create challenges as marketing and release logistics are still being worked on.
This is similar to what happened with Gaga’s ‘Applause’ from her album ARTPOP back in 2013. Because of leaks, the song was released a week earlier than anticipated despite efforts from Gaga and her team to keep the track out of the web.
Alongside the release of new music, fans can expect additional dates for her Las Vegas residency shows Enigma and Jazz & Piano. Gaga has proven to be one of the most successful acts to delight audiences in Sin City with every single show selling out every night.
The #LG6 alert watch is officially ON!
