Keith Urban is continuing the pop-country crossover collaborations that have become rather popular in recent years in his new album The Speed Of Now Part 1. He has acquired the help of Pink, Nile Rodgers, Breland, and Eric Church for his 11th studio album due Sept. 18.
Pink, who has previously dipped her toe in country music by collaborating with Chris Stapleton and Kenny Chesney, appears on a track called ‘One Too Many.’ Meanwhile, rising country rapper Breland and the legendary Nile Rodgers appear on the opening song ‘Out The Cage.’ Eric Church is already featured on the lead single ‘We Were’ which is already out.
‘When I collaborate, I’m always looking for that ‘third thing.’ There’s what I do, there’s what my collaborator does and then there’s this ‘third thing’ that I’m most curious about,’ Urban said in a statement. ‘That’s what interests me the most – when the sum of the parts becomes even more than what I envisioned. That’s what I love so much about it – finding common ground, shaping it and bringing it together.’
Urban is set to perform at the virtual iHeartRadio Music Festival in September.
