Jennifer Lopez is in a complete high after snatching everyone’s wigs and making people shake their booties in her spectacular Super Bowl halftime show alongside Shakira last Sunday in Miami. Last night, she appeared on The Tonight Show to talk about this milestone in her career with Jimmy Fallon. The latter which was definitely the fan in all of us. In other exciting news, however, she also revealed that she is in a new movie with Fallon and Maluma – and that includes new music too!
In Marry Me, Lopez plays a pop star that falls in love with a member of the audience (played by Owen Wilson). Fallon plays himself as the pop star appears on The Tonight Show. Meanwhile, Maluma is also in the film – and as JLo revealed, they have an album that comes along with the film. They also perform a ballad in the film which apparently Fallon loves. This lead to Lopez teasing a tour: perhaps with Maluma perhaps billed as The Marry Me Tour, but she declared that it won’t happen this year. Maybe next year! (Shakira recently announced plans to tour in 2021).
Jennifer also spoke about her Super Bowl halftime show. She detailed every step of the way from how nervous she was the morning of the show, how she prepared by watching previous halftime shows such as Madonna’s and Prince’s, and how she celebrated in her trailer after the show with her fiance Alex Rodriguez. She also spoke about Bruce Springsteen’s reaction to her using ‘Born In The U.S.A.’ during her show as performed with her daughter Emme. The Boss simply said ‘you girls can sing and dance!’ Love it!
Jennifer recently jumped on a remix of ‘Ritmo’ with The Black Eyed Peas and J Balvin. I like how she talks about taking a break, but it doesn’t seem like that’s happening any time soon! Whoa!
