iHeartRadio Music Awards canceled for 2020

Peter Stavros

iHeartRadio canceled their annual music awards due to the coronavirus pandemic. The ceremony was originally rescheduled from March 29 in Los Angeles, but it will no longer take place. However, winners will still receive their awards.

On Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-7, iHeartRadio will broadcast the giving out of awards on all of their radio stations around the country and on social media. Some winners will also deliver acceptance speeches during the broadcast.

Pending the continuation of the pandemic, the awards are set to return with an actual ceremony in 2021 and airing on FOX.
