Dua Lipa is doing the entire pop music landscape a favor by giving us banger after banger. She wants us to move, and we must oblige. But Hayley Williams is not quite ready to do that, she actually wants to move a little less – regardless of whether she is doing one of her new somber songs or a dance track from Lipa.
She recently appeared on BBC Radio’s Live Lounge. And since there it is now tradition, she did a cover of a popular song. That happened to be Lipa’s ‘Don’t Start Now.’ Instead of having it be the fun club-banger its become, she slowed it down to her own stylings.
Last month, she gave us a taste of the album with lead single ‘Simmer’ and its rather obscure music video. She also dropped the ‘Simmer Interlude’ which came with a rather horrifying video as well.
During the interview segment on BBC Radio, she revealed that she is actually releasing a ‘part one’ of her debut album Petals For Armor tomorrow, Feb. 6. The entire project is due May 8. Watch her perform her own single ‘Simmer’ below.
