After not happening for two years due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Glastonbury music festival made a triumphant return to Worthy Farm over the weekend. This year’s fest was headlined by Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar.
Other big acts performed over the weekend including Lorde, Kacey Musgraves, Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo, and many more. Some of the biggest acts of the last year took the stage for a weekend to be remembered.
Festivals can always be unpredictable. Artists like to make their sets at these shows memorable each time. This prompted surprise appearances as McCartney brought out Dave Grohl and Lily Allen joined Rodrigo to dedicate ‘F*** You’ to the Supreme Court justices that voted to overturn Roe v. Wade.
There was no lack of great music as artists from around the world gathered for a much-needed weekend. Pet Shop Boys, Years & Years, Jack White, Jessie Ware, and TLC were also among the weekends’ performers.
Some artists such as girl in red made their triumphant debut at the festival this year. Meanwhile, others came back for more such as Glass Animals who performed for the fourth time at Glastonbury.
