My Chemical Romance just made a good 30% of my former high school classmates tear up even though they are probably in their mid-20’s. One of emo music’s most revolutionary band is going back on the road for their first North American tour in seven years. Not only that, they are bringing along the superb Jimmy Eat World on this 18-city trek.
I guess it sucks to live in the midwest and be a My Chemical Romance fan. The band is playing most of their shows on both coasts, Texas, Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan. Yep, no Kansas City emo fandom for you. Keeping it safe on a returning tour consisting of only arenas, they are doing big markets such as Brooklyn, Boston, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. They are also partaking in three festivals: Chicago’s Riot Fest, Atlanta’s Music Midtown, and Sacramento’s Aftershock Fest.
Hopefully you have the money to grab some tickets because this is a short notice. Tickets for their shows go on sale this Friday, Jan. 31.
