If anyone was ever going to get Britney Spears to make music anytime soon, it was going to be a legend as big as Elton John. Page Six is reporting that the two recorded a new version of his 1971 classic ‘Tiny Dancer’ last week at a studio in Beverly Hills.
But that’s not all, the best news to come out of this is that the song will actually come out next month via Universal Music. The source told the NYC tabloid, “They’ve already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good. They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer.”
It could be that John was inspired by his latest collaborations album The Lockdown Sessions which includes the smash hit ‘Cold Heart’ remix featuring Dua Lipa. It is a perfect opportunity for Spears to get back into music. It’s a one-off song that could do well in the charts based on the buzz it is creating behind the scenes.
Last year, there were rumblings that Spears wanted nothing to do with music after her conservatorship ended. It even lead to her longtime manager Larry Rudolph resigning from her team. Since then, there have only been rumors about a new album and even a new residency in Vegas. Nothing official has come out of Britney’s camp.
