Ariana Grande has signed on as a coach for the upcoming season of The Voice.
The hit singing competition on NBC will have the ‘positions’ singer join Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend on the rotating red chairs. She will take the place of Nick Jonas as she tries to build a team to find the next star.
“I’m so honored and excited to join The Voice family!” Grande said in a statement. “I have been a huge fan of the show for such a long time. I can’t wait to go head-to-head with the incredible coaches, get to know these new artists and help to take their craft to the next level.”
It is interesting that Grande is joining the singing competition. Artists at the peak of their career usually don’t stop to become judges on a singing competition. There has been no news about how much money NBC is offering her to participate on season 21 of the show.
