Adele has been teasing her new album forever now. She first yelled out that her album would come out in September at a wedding party back in February, however the coronavirus pandemic put a stop to those plans – with no official date in sight.
It looks like fans won’t have to wait until next year, however, as a new report reveals that she is on track to take advantage of the upcoming holiday season.
Columnist Roger Friedman wrote on his column:
“One diva has been MIA officially for five years. Adele released her “21” album in November 20, 2015. Five years is pretty much the maximum length anyone can wait, including the “Skyfall” single that came a little later. I’m told Adele will be dropping a single soon with an eye toward a similar mid-November album. Mid-to-late November is her best shot at real Christmas sales. Sony/Columbia could use it, and frankly, so could Adele. Stay tuned…”
Like he mentions, November is probably one of the best months to put out an album. Adele has done this in the past. Christmas is a great time to sell. Considering she caters to a wide audience, her records usually make for the perfect gift.
I do wonder what ‘soon’ means as it relates to the single. For her last album, she dropped lead single ‘Hello’ on Oct. 23!
