Coachella kicked off yesterday to an exciting start with many acts taking the stage throughout the day. Undoubtedly, BLACKPINK created the greatest buzz with an incredible set that had fans going crazy, and casual festival-goers becoming fans.
Not only did they make history by being the first every K-pop girl group to perform at the festival, but it was their first ever full-length concert in the United States. And, the kick off to their upcoming tour which properly stars next Wednesday with their first arena headlining show at The Forum in Los Angeles.
Rosé took to the mic to tell everyone in attendance for the 50-minute set, ‘Us coming all the way from South Korea, we didn’t know what to expect, and obviously we — you guys and us — we’re from totally different worlds. But tonight I think we’ve learned so deeply that music brings us as one. So I want to thank you guys tonight for sticking by to the end of the show.’
People on Twitter were going crazy watching the livestream of their set. This is what they were saying.
