Celine Dion just announced a massive, 50-city tour across North America. And to honor the announcement of her first North American tour in a decade, the singer did a small performance during a special event for this Courage World Tour at the ACE Hotel in Los Angeles earlier this week.
The Canadian songstress, who is easily one of the vocalists of all time (I said it!), can be watched in the video below hitting the high notes for her huge Titanic-hit ‘My Heart Will Go On.’ It’s just chillingly awe-inspiring. Amazing.
Courage is the name of her 12th English-language studio album, which will have a Nov. 1 release. The tour is in support of this new project. She hasn’t revealed much about the album, except that singer Sia is involved – whether as a feature collaboration or a writer is unknown. During the event, she also talked about the idea behind the name Courage.
‘I think I went through a lot. And life had given me the tools… to find my inner strength, to find courage, and to keep going,’ Celine said. ‘The people that I love so much embraced the moments that were difficult. They gave me so much strength. And then a song came that was called ‘Courage’, and it didn’t take long for all of us to say, ‘I think the album should be called Courage.”
