More People Use Apple Music Than Spotify In The US

A new report claims that Apple Music has finally overtaken Spotify in the amount of paid subscriptions in the United States as of last February. According to sources, Apple Music ended the month with about 28 million subscriptions while Spotify trailed with about 26 million.

Despite this accomplishment from Apple Music, it is believed that Spotify has more people using their streaming service outside the country. Exact numbers for this are unknown as both companies do not release any information measuring this data.

Both companies have been competing with special artist features, exclusives, and original creative content. Apple’s interface and partnerships with popular artists in the United States is the likely reason why it is beating out Spotify. However, Spotify has more listeners due to them an ad-supported free membership with limited features – which a lot of people take advantage of.
