Our fellow Texan is heading out for his first ever headlining arena tour. Khalid announced a 31-city summer tour in support of his upcoming sophomore album Free Spirit – due next week on April 5.

The tour takes him to some of the biggest markets in the continent including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, Toronto, and Miami, performing in major arenas such as Staples Center and Madison Square Garden. Noticeably missing from his itinerary however is his hometown of El Paso, Texas.

‘MY FIRST ARENA TOUR!’ Khalid tweeted. ‘3 years ago, I did my first show in a coffee shop. Life is such a blessing, I love u guys, thank you so much @clairo for joining me ❤️ more info/tickets coming super super soon.’

Massachusetts-native Clairo is joining Khalid as the opening act for all the shows on the tour with the exception of the July 21st date in Kansas City as she has a performance scheduled at the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago.
