Nicki Minaj is sooooo mad. The rapper was shaded by the BET social media account during last night’s Grammys telecast. And now, she is seeking revenge by … canceling her appearance at the BET Experience show in Los Angeles this June. Additionally, she suggests that she will not be appearing at the BET Awards either. And, there is a possibility that Lil Wayne might be out too.
Last night while Cardi B received her first Grammy as Invasion of Privacy won for Best Rap Album, the BET social media team went after Nicki in a petty way. The tweet had a link to an article with the title ‘Cardi B Is The First Solo Female Rapper To Win Best Rap Album, And Fans Are Weeping.’ However, BET’s caption went – with no good reason – after Minaj. It read: ‘Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront.’ Ouch.
Given the long feuding history Cardi B has with Nicki Minaj, the latter quickly canceled her appearances at the aforementioned BET events this summer. She tweeted, ‘Young Money will no longer be apart of the BET Experience or award show. Summer Tour dates dropping soon.’
Funny enough, the BET Experience event lasts two nights at the Staples Center. On the first night, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne are billed as the headliners. Meanwhile, the second night belongs to Cardi B and Migos. It will be interesting to see if Nicki follows through and really doesn’t do the show.
BET has yet to comment on the situation. The event website still shows Nicki Minaj as the show’s headliner.
