One of my favorite pop stars in the world is rightfully (and finally) performing a headlining set at the biggest festival in the world.
Aussie goddess Kylie Minogue is bringing her hits to Glastonbury next summer. The ‘Can’t Get You Outta My Head’ singer is headlining on the iconic legends stage on Sunday night (June 30), a huge milestone in her career. It will be an unbelievable night, and one for redemption.
14 years ago, Minogue had been booked to headline at the festival. However, her breast cancer diagnosis pulled her away from this huge festival performance. So, it makes the announcement of her at the top of the bill next year that much more special.
‘It will be 14 years since I was originally meant to appear there,’ she said. ‘So much has happened up to now. I can’t wait to see you all there to share this special show.’
Minogue had a huge year with the release of her more country-esque album to date, Golden. (I love it so much!) She also toured with it throughout Europe and is taking it to her home country of Australia early next year.
It would be so fun to go to Glastonbury next year. Imagine if they also confirm a Spice Girls set! OMG, a gay man’s dream.
