BTS To Make History As First K-Pop Act To Play U.S. Stadium

One of the weirdest things to have ever happened to pop music in the United States is the arrival of Korean group BTS. K-Pop fans have always existed, but it wasn’t as mainstream as this group has made it. Now, they are truly showing themselves. There are A LOT of K-Pop fans in the United States. Quite frankly, I find that fascinating.

Anyways, the point here is that BTS continues to amaze me as they are now making even more history. They will become the first Korean group to perform at a stadium in the United States.

They are making a stop at Citi Field in New York City with their Love Yourself Tour on Oct. 6 to wrap up the North American leg before they head to Europe and Japan. This is a venue that holds roughly 40,000 to 50,000 people for concerts.

Tickets go on sale Aug. 17. Their album, Love Yourself, is out Aug. 24.

That’s kind of a big deal. I still don’t get the excitement around them, but more power to them.
